Domain Authority

A third-party score that estimates how likely a website is to rank, based mostly on its backlink profile.

Domain authority is a score, created by SEO software companies rather than Google, that predicts how well a website might rank. It is calculated largely from the number and quality of backlinks a site has earned. Because it is a comparative estimate, it is most useful for measuring your progress against competitors over time rather than as an exact grade. Google does not use this specific number, so treat it as a helpful gauge and not a guarantee.
